WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley men's golf team is favored to place third in the Northeast 10 Championship, which is scheduled for Oct. 19-20 at Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow, Mass. The Falcons received one first-place vote in a poll of conference head coaches. Bentley placed fourth in the 2025 NE10 Championship.
Jack Kantowski,
Braden Yeomans,
John Noonan,
Joey Nee, and
CJ Steel are slated to compete for Bentley, with
Tommy Murphy as an alternate. Kantowski earned All-NE10 First Team a year ago, while Noonan earned All-NE10 Third Team.
Kantowski placed second in last year's NE10 Championship, shooting 73-73-67-213. The senior hasn't missed a beat this fall. Kantowski was recently named the NE10 Golfer of the Week after winning the Saint Anselm Fall Invitational (Oct. 7-8). He shot 70-69-139 for the tournament.
Yeomans has also earned an NE10 Golfer of the Week accolade this fall. He propelled Bentley to its first tournament win since 2021 when the Falcons were the top team in the American International Yellow Jacket Invitational (Sept. 9-10). Yeomans placed second overall by shooting 68-70-73-211.
What's more, Yeomans set the Bentley record for best single-round score when he shot a 66 in the first round of the Granite State Opener (Sept. 23-24). Bentley won that tournament, as well.
Murphy was named the NE10 Rookie of the Week this fall. He led the Falcons to second place in the Penmen Fall Invitational (Sept. 29). Murphy shot a 69 in the single-round event, as Bentley finished just two strokes behind first-place Southern New Hampshire.
Bentley has finished top three in four out of five tournaments this fall, and the Falcons are positioned to continue their Fall 2026 surge in the conference championship.
