Marcum grabs 12 catches, Warnock throws four touchdown passes to hand Pace its first NE10 loss

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Cooper Marcum had his best game in a Bentley uniform, and Luke Warnock threw four touchdown passes as the Bentley football team handed Pace its first Northeast 10 loss of the season with a 42-14 triumph in New York. The Setters drop to 5-3 (4-1 NE10), while the Falcons improve their record to 5-3 (3-2 NE10).

Marcum totaled 136 receiving yards on 12 catches, both of which are career highs for the junior tight end. He also reeled in his 10th and 11th receiving touchdowns of the season – a sum that leads the NE10. Marcum has multiple touchdown grabs in five games this season.
Marcum's 12 catches are the most in a game by a Falcon since Drew Mahoney had 13 against American International during the 2019 season.

Warnock, a junior, threw for 259 yards, completing 24 of 35 pass attempts without an interception. He increased his conference-leading totals to 1,751 passing yards and 22 passing touchdowns. Warnock has multiple touchdown passes in seven consecutive games.

Parker Woodring came away with touchdown catches, increasing his season total to nine. By the end of the game, he trailed only Marcum for the NE10 lead in touchdown catches. Woodring, a graduate wideout, totaled 80 receiving yards on seven catches against the Setters.

Four Falcons totaled double-digit tackles in the win. Caleb Procaccini led the team with 14 tackles, and he was followed by David Brown Jr. (11), Jake Fredericks (11), and Jagger Carreiro (10).

Damian Anderson's first interception of the season set the tone for Bentley. The Setters opened the game with possession, and they drove down to Bentley's six-yard line. Pace, however, failed to put points on the board when Anderson picked off a pass in the end zone.

The Falcons' ensuing possession marched down the field 80 yards and culminated in a 19-yard touchdown pass from Warnock to Marcum.

Paces' next possession went three-and-out. Once again, the Bentley offense rewarded its defense with a methodical drive that reached the end zone. This time, Warnock hit Woodring for an 11-yard score to give Bentley a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter.

Midway through the second, Isaiah Osgood connected with Woodring with a two-yard touchdown pass. Bentley took a 21-7 lead into halftime.

The Falcons kept their foot on the gas to start to the second half. Bentley reached the end zone just over two minutes into the third quarter when Warnock found Marcum for a 41-yard touchdown pass.

Warnock's fourth and final touchdown pass went to Telly Edouard from 19 yards out early in the fourth quarter.

Bentley returns home for Senior Day Saturday, Nov. 7, with a 12 p.m. kickoff against American International.
