ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Callie Burchill scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give the No. 24 Bentley women's lacrosse team a 10-9 victory at Roberts Wesleyan Saturday afternoon. It was the Falcons' first win of 2026.
Caitlin Keenan assisted on Burchill's game-winning goal, which came with 24 seconds remaining in the period. It was Burchill's second goal of the game.
Julia Schreiber and
Emilie Bobola also netted two goals each for Bentley (1-1).
Leading 7-6 after the third quarter,
Sophia Pope put Bentley in front 1:51 into the fourth quarter. Roberts Wesleyan scored the next two goals, but
Ava Mule put Bentley back in front with 5:53 left in regulation to make the score 9-8. RWU tied the game again with 3:38 left and the teams traded possessions after that goal to send the game to overtime.
In addition to her two goals, Schreiber had a team high four draw controls.
Hailey Bardorf had a game high three caused turnovers.
The win was the first as a Falcon for new head coach
Ashley Holdridge.
Bentley's next game is Wednesday, March 4, at Mercy.
