WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley women's lacrosse notched its third straight win on Wednesday night by beating Southern New Hampshire 16-9.
The Falcons improved to 2-1 in Northeast 10 games and 4-5 overall.
Freshman
Emilie Bobola scored a game and career high five goals. Goalie
Lauren Rochel, named the national Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, made 10 saves.
Leading 10-8 at the end of the third quarter, Bentley pulled away in the fourth and outscored the Penmen 6-1.
Bentley closed the game on a 5-0 run over the final 13:18.
Bobola had the first two goals of the run and another freshman,
Lorena Rivera, scored the next two at the 8:48 and 6:47 marks.
The final goal of the night was scored by
Callie Burchill with 4:37 remaining.
Rochel made three of her 10 saves in the fourth quarter.
Bentley will look to make it four wins in a row when they visit Saint Anselm on Saturday.
