WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University's Jake Black was named a New England Hockey Writers All-Star as a forward.

Black's senior season saw him lead the Falcons in both goals (19) and points (41) as the team won its second straight Atlantic Hockey championship.

A first team All-Atlantic Hockey selection, he finished the year second in the league in points, tied for second in goals and eighth in assists.

In January, Black was selected as the National Forward of the Month by the Hockey Commissioners Association after he led the nation with 17 points.

The Pomfret, Connecticut native was a finalist for the Atlantic Hockey Forward of the Year award.
