Bentley draws Michigan in NCAA Tournament, will play in Albany on Friday

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley was drawn against Michigan in the first round of the NCAA Tournament and will play in the Albany Regional on Friday.

The game is set for 5:30 pm at MVP Arena in Albany, N.Y. The game can be seen on ESPNU.

The Falcons won their second consecutive Atlantic Hockey championship on Saturday night with a 3-2 victory over Sacred Heart to clinch their second straight trip to the NCAAs.

Saturday's win capped a 5-0 run through the Atlantic Hockey playoffs that began with a sweep of Mercyhurst in the quarterfinals and was followed by a sweep of Holy Cross in the semifinals.

Michael Mesic was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

At 23-11-5, Bentley tied the program record for wins in a single-season set last year. They won the program's first Atlantic Hockey regular season title in late February.

Michigan (29-7-1) is the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. They won the Big Ten championship on Saturday over Ohio State.

The other matchup in the Albany Regional is Minnesota Duluth against Penn State.
