Bentley faces Southern Connecticut on Saturday in NE10 Quarterfinals

WALTHAM, Mass. – For the second time in 11 days Bentley travels down to Southern Connecticut State. This time it will be in the quarterfinals of the Northeast 10 Women's Lacrosse Championship.

The game on Saturday gets underway at 4:00 pm and can be streamed live on FloCollege

This matchup pits the #6 seed Falcons (5-4 NE10) against the #3 seed Owls (6-3).

Just one game separated the 3-6 seeds in the final standings. Bentley finished in a three-way tie for fourth place with Assumption and Saint Anselm but drew the #6 seed based on tiebreakers.

The other quarterfinal games on Saturday are Assumption hosting Saint Anselm and the #2 seed Pace playing the #7 seed Southern New Hampshire.

Adelphi (9-0 NE10) is the #1 seed and has a bye to the semifinals.

The winner of Bentley-Southern Connecticut will play the winner of Pace-Southern New Hampshire in the semifinals on April 29.

After a 1-5 start to the season the Falcons have gone 6-3 since then. They won five out of six from March 18-April 10 before dropping two straight to Southern Connecticut and Pace. They finished the regular season strong with a 16-11 win over Saint Michael's on April 21.

At the end of the regular season the team's leading scorer is senior Caitlin Keenan with 20 goals and 32 assists. She is just four assists away from becoming the fourth player in program history to reach 100 career assists.

The leading goal scorer is sophomore Callie Burchill with 41, who has been consistent with eight games with at least three goals.

Senior Natalia Dutkewych has had a standout all-around senior season. She's second on the team in each of goals (31), assists (18) and points (49) and leads the team in draw controls (67).

In the cage, Lauren Rochel boasts the second best save percentage in the NE10 (.462) and the fourth best goals against average (11.33).

The Owls are led offensively by Macy Vail with 40 goals and 16 assists. Two other players have 30-plus goals this season, Abigail Nolan (36) and Anna Meserve (32). Maddox Burton is the team's top playmaker with 24 assists.

The team's #1 goalie is Caelan Connors with an 11-4 record and .459 save percentage.
