WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley men's lacrosse hosts #5 ranked Pace on Saturday for one of its biggest games of the season. Faceoff is set for 1:00 pm and the Senior Day ceremonies are scheduled for 10:30 am.
The Falcons come in winners of two straight games with road victories over Southern New Hampshire (16-7) on April 1 and AIC (16-6) on April 4. Their record is 5-5 overall and 3-2 in the NE10.
That conference record has the them in fifth place in the NE10 standings with three games remaining. The top-six teams qualify for the NE10 playoffs and the third and fourth seeds host a first round game on April 25.
After Saturday's game, the regular season concludes with two games next week. They host Assumption (4-2 NE10) on Tuesday night in another big game before traveling to Saint Michael's (1-4 NE10) on April 18.
Entering the home stretch of the regular season, sophomore
Dante D'Amico ranks seventh nationally in faceoff winning percentage at 67.8. He is 17
th nationally in ground balls per game at 6.56.
Senior
Kyle Piersiak, who was named the NE10 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday for the second time this year, is 21
st nationally in caused turnovers per game at 2.22.
Pace enters Saturday's game at 10-1 overall and 5-0 in the NE10. They have won 10 straight contests after losing to Molloy in their season opener on February 21. They have yet to play Adelphi or Saint Anselm but face both of those teams next week.
The Setters have won the last two meetings against Bentley, 12-7 in New York last season and 11-10 in a triple overtime game in 2024 in Waltham. The last win in the series for Bentley was on April 15, 2023 in an 11-10 road victory.
The all-time series couldn't be much closer with the Setters holding a slight 17-16 edge.
