WALTHAM, Mass. – A trio of Falcons from the historic 2026 Bentley baseball team earned All-America honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), the ABCA announced Friday. It is the first time Bentley placed three All-America recipients in the same season.
ABCA All-America
Stan DeMartinis III,
Pat Heber, and
Nick Pappas were each named to the ABCA All-America Third Team.
DeMartinis, a graduate student, became Bentley's all-time home run leader in 2026. He also set the program's single-season home run record this spring. With one swing of the bat against Adelphi, DeMartinis set both home run records that were previously held by head coach
Mike Hill.
As the Falcons gear up for the NCAA DII World Series, DeMartinis is the only player among the eight remaining teams with at least 20 home runs this season. He has 23 home runs, 73 RBI, and a slash line of .325/.429/.675.
Pappas, who is also an All-America selection by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWL), set two Bentley records this spring. The graduate student is the first Falcon in program history to reach 100 hits in a season (101), and his 84 runs are also the new program standard.
Among all NCAA DII World Series participants, Pappas leads the group in runs scored and total hits.
Heber is Bentley's all-time winningest pitcher, as he enters the DII World Series with a career record of 23-11. The senior's 10-0 record in 2026 is tied with teammate
Sam Belliveau for the most wins in a season in Benley history. Earlier this spring, Heber became Bentley's all-time leader in strikeouts. He currently has 283 strikeouts to his name.
DeMartinis, Pappas, and Heber were all named to the All-Northeast 10 First Team for the second consecutive year. They also garnered All-Region honors from multiple associations.
As the #7 seed in the NCAA DII World Series, Bentley takes on #2 Tampa Saturday, May 30, at the U.S.A. Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
