WALTHAM, Mass. – Lily Tedford is the recipient of the NE10 Sport Excellence Award for the 2026 women's outdoor track & field season. She also earned the distinction for the 2025-26 indoor track & field season.

The NE10 Sport Excellence Award is bestowed to the student-athlete with outstanding academic and athletic achievement in their respective sport.

During the outdoor season, Tedford won the conference gold medal in the 1,500-m. Tedford's winning time in the 1,500-m was 4:41.43, more than 2.5 seconds ahead of the next runner. She ultimately earned All-Region in the 1,500-m from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Tedford earned USTFCCCA All-Region in two events during the indoor season: the 800-m and the mile. She was the NE10 gold medalist in the mile during the conference championships.
