WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley field hockey is ranked third in the Northeast 10 Preseason Poll that was released on Tuesday. The start of the regular season is 26 days away with the Falcons opening at home on September 6 against Southern New Hampshire.

Bentley received 63 points in the poll to rank third. Assumption topped the poll (78 points, seven first-place votes) and Saint Anselm was second (67 points, one first-place vote).

The Falcons are coming off a stellar 2025 season that saw them reach the finals of the NE10 Championship after beating the #1 seed Assumption on the road in the semifinals. They went to double overtime of the championship game against Saint Anselm, then received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

They ended the season ranked 10^th by the NFHCA.

Two of Bentley's first three encounters of 2026 are on home turf in Waltham. Following a road game against Saint Anselm on September 10, the Falcons host East Stroudsburg on September 13.

The first NE10 game of the season is on September 27 at Mercy.
