WALTHAM, Mass. - Bentley's
Kyle Piersiak and
Thomas Hirsh were named Division II Scholar All-Americans by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). Bentley also earned the USILA's Team Academic Award.
The criteria for being named a Scholar All-American is to be a senior academically and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. The player must have either been named an All-American, All-Region or be an otherwise outstanding player.
The criteria for the Team Academic Award is for the team to have a combined GPA of 3.0 or better.
A defenseman, Piersiak finished his career as Bentley's all-time leader in caused turnovers (108). His 2025 season saw him named third team All-Region by the USILA, honorable mention All-America by the USILA, third team All-America by USA Lacrosse and second team All-Conference.
Hirsh garnered third team All-Conference honors, plus All-New England and CSC Academic All-District honors.
Both Piersiak and Hirsh were voted to the Northeast 10 Academic All-Conference team.
As a team, the Falcons earned the NE10's team Academic Excellence Award for the sixth season in a row.
