COLCHESTER, Vt. – Five different Falcons scored to propel the Bentley field hockey team to its first win of the season, 5-1, at Saint Michael's (non-conference) Wednesday afternoon.
Freshman
Kaitie Ryan opened the scoring with her first-career goal just over 16 minutes into the game. The Purple Knights tied up the game, 1-1, in the second quarter, but Bentley answered back five minutes later when
Emily Stagnone scored her first goal of the season.
The Falcons held that 2-1 lead at halftime, but
Kiara Russell's second goal of the season gave Bentley a buffer, 3-1, eight minutes into the second half.
The Falcons stayed in attack mode for all 60 minutes. Maddie Krepelka scored her first goal of the season with 90 seconds left in the game, and
Mia Gallinelli beat the final horn for her first goal of 2026.
Isabella Tuccio assisted on Gallinelli's goal.
Annie Lorenz turned away three shots to earn the win.
Bentley's next game is non-conference at Assumption, Sept. 23.
