WALTHAM, Mass. –Â
Luke Warnock threw five touchdown passes to four different receivers, leading the Bentley football team to a 49-7 win over Post during Falcon Weekend Saturday afternoon.
Warnock tied his career high for passing touchdowns in a game. He threw for five scores against Post (0-3) last year. He 2026 performance against the Eagles included 273 passing yards while completing 26 of 42 attempts (61.9-percent).
Cooper Marcum caught two touchdowns against Post, marking his second consecutive game with two scores (at Saint Anslem, Sept. 12). Marcum finished Saturday's game with six catches for 78 yards.
Senior wideout
Peter Bibby III hauled in his first career touchdown reception. Warnock found Bibby for a 30-yard score down the middle of the field in the second quarter. Junior
Eli Batista came away with his first career touchdown reception by catching a beautifully lofted throw from Warnock from Post's 31-yard line.
Graduate transfer
Parker Woodring reeled in his first touchdown catch as a Falcon when Warnock found him in the back of the end zone from three yards out.
The Bentley (2-1) offense was more conservative in the fourth quarter, but it still reached the end zone twice in the final 15 minutes.
Joshua Compoh had a 21-yard touchdown carry, and
Mason Andrade punched a carry into the end zone from five yards out.
Bentley totaled 195 yards on the ground, led by 62 rushing yards from
Telly Edouard.
Defensively, freshman linebacker
Braeden Smith notched his first career interception, and
Jake Fredericks came away with 1.5 sacks.
Despite the lopsided win, it wasn't an entirely clean game for the Falcons. Bentley's special teams surrendered a kickoff for a touchdown in the first quarter, and the Falcons turned the ball over twice.
The Falcons officially open Northeast 10 action at Franklin Pierce, Sept. 26. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
