WALTHAM, Mass. – AIC snapped Bentley's three-game home unbeaten streak with a 1-0 victory on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
AIC's Liam Smith scored the only goal in the 22
nd minute, with a shot from a tight angle on the left side of the penalty area.
Both teams had four shots on goal but the Falcons had a 6-1 edge in corner kicks.
Seven yellow cards were issued in a physical game.
Despite the rainy weather, there was a tremendous turnout for the program's Alumni Day. The 1990s teams, which won three straight NE10 titles from 1992-94, were honored at halftime.
The Falcons next play on Saturday, October 3 at Southern New Hampshire at 4:00 pm.
