• 6.0 sacks for season, only 0.5 sacks away from the lead.
• Recorded first sack of season against St. Anselm (Sept. 14). 
• Added another sack against Pace (Oct. 5). 
• Tallied two sacks against American International (Oct. 19). 

2023: Recorded one sack against both Franklin Pierce (Oct. 28) and Assumption (Nov. 4)... Tallied 0.5 TFL against Pace (Oct. 14), American International (Oct. 21), and New Haven (Nov. 11)... Season-high four tackles against American International (Oct. 21) ... NE10 Academic Excellence award for the spring 2024 semester.

2022: Started the season’s first four games and played in a total of eight … 14 total tackles including four for losses and 3.5 sacks … recovered a fumble against Pace Sept. 10 … opened season with four tackles and a sack at West Chester Sept. 2 … received Academic Honors from the Northeast-10 following both semesters.

2021: Played in all 10 regular season games with three starts … made 20 tackles, including eight unassisted stops … had two tackles, resulting in losses of 16 yards, against Franklin Pierce Oct. 30 … also had a career high eight tackles, including five solo, in that game, and two forced fumbles … that performance earned him NE10 Rookie of the Week honors.

2020: Bentley did not compete in any games.

Before Bentley: 2020 graduate of Lunenburg High School where he was a three-sport captain as a senior (football, indoor track and field, outdoor track and field) ... football honors included Worcester Telegram Central Massachusetts all-star as a senior and Mid-Wach League all-star as a junior and senior ... was also a Division 8 all-star his final two seasons ... 2020 indoor shot put state champion ... also captured the district and league championships ... finished fourth in the New England indoor championships and was ranked 14th for the nationals, which were cancelled due to COVID-19 ... was invited to the Central Mass. Mewhiney all-star game, which was also cancelled ... Principal’s Leadership Award ... academic excellence in calculus.

Personal: Son of James and Irene Rivers ... has four older siblings: Jimmy, Josh, Cory and Mandii ... volunteered with Lunenburg Bengals youth football team, Next Generation Elite, Lunenburg Summer Sports Classic, Lunenburg Blue Knights and the Lunenburg Boys and Girls Club … involved with Bentley Black Student-Athletes and Athletes in Action.
