2016: Played in every game for the second straight year and started seven of the final eight at strong safety … finished season with 35 tackles, two tackles for losses, two interceptions and three pass break-ups … Bentley’s Special Teams captain Sept. 24 at LIU Post … had nine tackles and an interception, which he returned 40 yards, in that game … also picked off a pass eight days earlier against Merrimack.
2015: Appeared in all 11 games as a freshman … ten tackles included a high of three Sept. 26 at Merrimack … half of his tackles came on special teams.
Before Bentley: 2015 graduate of Holliston High School … was the Boston Globe Division 4 Player of the Year and a Boston Herald All-Scholastic … Tri-Valley League MVP who led his team to a 12-1 record and the Division 4 Super Bowl title … led Division 4 in scoring … passed for 1,573 yards and 16 touchdowns while rushing for 1,429 yards and 28 TDs … named to Massachusetts Super 26 team … offensive MVP for South Team in Shriners’ All-Star game … selected as National Football Foundation Grinold Chapter Scholar-Athlete … basketball team captain … Massachusetts representative for the NFL HSPD National Guard Leadership Program.
