Biography

2008-09: Was in the lineup for all but one game ... used primarily as the fourth line center ... on the season, chipped in three goals and tallied five assists ... had an assist in three straight contests from Nov. 14-Nov. 21, helping Bentley to a  2-0-1 record ... assisted on Jeff Gumaer’s goal in first period against Mercyhurst Nov. 14, helping Falcons to first win in Erie since 2003 ... assisted on Pat Percella’s goal in series finale one day later, Bentley’s lone goal of the game, as Falcons earned 1-1 draw ... other two assists came Dec. 12 at Ohio State, and Feb 6 at Holy Cross ... scored first goal of the season in 8-3 rout of Canisius Jan. 9 ... scored just 2:45 into first period of 4-3 win over Sacred Heart Jan. 24 ... final goal of the season came in game one win of quarterfinals series with Canisius March 13 ... that goal gave Bentley a two-goal cushion with just over five minutes to play ... named Atlantic Hockey All-Academic.

 

2007-08: Played in 30 games, 15 on defense and 15 as a center ... started on the top line on Jan. 11 at Holy Cross ... scored four points in his rookie season (2-2-4) ... recorded first career point with an assist on Marc Menzione’s goal at Western Michigan on Oct. 20 ... assisted on Erik Peterson’s game-winning goal at Holy Cross on Jan. 11 as the Falcons won 6-4 ... scored first collegiate goal vs. Mercyhurst on Jan. 25 as Bentley went on to earn 3-3 tie ... added second goal of the season at Air Force, Bentley’s only goal of the game, on Feb. 2.

 

2006-07: Redshirted due to injury ... named to Atlantic Hockey All-Academic Team.

 

Before Bentley: Graduated from Pomfret School in 2006 ... named Prep-Private Most Valuable Player at Hockey Night in Boston in 2006 ... was named the top defenseman at Pomfret his junior and senior years and best pro prospect in his senior season ... team captain ... received Cowperthwait Cup award from Pomfret ... won world championship with Hershey Jr. Bears in 2000 ... captain of the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers ... also played soccer, lacrosse and golf in high school ... captained the soccer team at Pomfret.

 

Personal: Majoring in finance ... age as of Oct. 15: 23 ... brother Bryan, 24, played club hockey at Penn State ... son of Jeffrey and Susan Kemmerer ... family now lives in Canada.
