Michael Dance was hired as Bentley’s Strength and Conditioning coach in August, 2024.
Dance came to Bentley from fellow Northeast-10 American International, where he served as the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator since January 2021. At AIC, Dance implemented and supervised year-round training programs for all of the Yellow Jackets’ athletic teams.
Prior to AIC, Dance was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Quinnipiac, where he worked with the baseball, track and field, cross country, tennis, and acrobatics and tumbling teams. Prior to Quinnipiac, he was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Bryant. There, he worked primarily with the women’s soccer, volleyball, golf and women’s tennis teams, and assisted with the football, men’s basketball, and men’s lacrosse squads.
Dance was also a strength and conditioning graduate assistant at NE10 member Southern Connecticut State, where he worked with the football, women’s lacrosse, field hockey, and swimming and diving teams.
Dance graduated from Worcester State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in health education. He played for the Lancers’ football team and was a four-time selection to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Academic team. He earned his Masters of Science in exercise science from Southern Connecticut in 2018.
