RINDGE, N.H. –Bentley University extended its Northeast-10
winning streak to 17 with a 9-0 sweep of Franklin Pierce on Tuesday
afternoon in men's tennis action.
Bentley has yet to drop a point in its three matches so far this
season as they improve to 3-0 both overall and in the NE-10. The
Ravens fall to 0-5 both overall and in the conference.
The Falcons dropped just 11 games in singles play. Sophomore
Lucas Wever
(Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) was among the winners
for Bentley, defeating Pat Gilhuly 6-4, 6-1 in number one singles.
Sophomore Rodrigo
Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Chapel School) and freshman
Andrew Waddington (Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial)
had easy wins in singles. Ribeiro bested Dan McDonough 6-0, 6-0 in
number three singles and Waddington topped Andrew Wong 6-0, 6-2 in
number four singles.
Bentley will close out its fall season on Saturday at Saint
Michael's.
