RINDGE, N.H. – The Bentley men's tennis team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 5-2 road victory against Franklin Pierce.
The Falcons won the doubles point by taking the No. 1 and No. 3 matches. Strong performances in singles play finished off the victory with the team winning four of the six matches.
In doubles,
Rafael Cueto and
Ryan Reda defeated Martin Dominguez Cerdeira and Ruben Minguez Merchan in No. 1, 6-2. The No. 3 match saw
Albert Soukup and
Nikolai Pran defeat Daniel Garcia and Orlando Guerrero in a tiebreak 7-6 (7-4).
In singles, Chadha won the No. 1 match over Minguez Merchan by a 6-3, 6-4 score.
Soukup won in three sets in No. 4 over Garcia, 6-2, 7-6, 6-1.
Jairaj Sehwani swept to a 6-1, 6-4 victory in No. 5 over Mathais Bonnefond and
Javier Pemueller defeated Ibai Lopiz in three sets in No. 6, 6-2, 4-6, 10-8.
Bentley has two matches left in the fall season, with the next competition on October 21 against Assumption in Waltham.
