Box Score WALTHAM, Mass. – In a matchup of unbeaten men's tennis teams in the Northeast 10, Bentley came up short against Assumption, 5-2, Tuesday afternoon.
The Greyhounds won the doubles point by winning on the No. 1 court and No. 3 court.
Ryan Reda and
Rafael Cueto teamed up for a 6-2 win on the No. 2 doubles court.
Jairaj Sehwani provided Bentley's first point with a two-set win (6-2, 6-2) on the No. 6 singles court.
Albert Soukup also won his singles match in two sets (6-2, 6-3) on the No. 5 court.
As a team, Bentley was down 3-2 with
Dante Massetta competing in No. 2 singles, and Reda competing in No. 4 singles. Bentley needed both Falcons to win, and they both went three sets.
However, Assumption won the No. 4 singles match (7-5, 3-6, 6-3) to seal its team victory.
The final match of Bentley's fall season is at Adelphi, Oct. 31. v
