Freshmen Connor Aulson (Groveland, Mass.) and Daniel Weitz (Roslyn, N.Y.) won in singles in Bentley's spring break trip opener against Florida Tech, but the team fell 7-2.
Weitz, who is now 8-0 on the season in singles matches, won the No. 3 match over Jack Clark. Clark won the first set 6-4, but Weitz battled back and took the second set 6-2. Weitz then won the third set tiebreak, 10-8.
Aulson was victorious in the No. 6 singles match, in three sets over Gerard Carpinell. Aulson nabbed the first set 6-4, but dropped the second set 6-1. Aulson though emerged in the third set tiebreak, 10-8, to claim the match.
Florida Tech though swept the doubles matches for a 3-0 lead, and won the four other singles matches, as Bentley's record dropped to 5-4 on the season.
The Falcons continue their spring break trip on Tuesday when they take on Cedarville in Altamonte Springs.
