Bentley Competes at Merrimack Invitational

North Andover, Mass. – The Bentley men's tennis team competed against Merrimack at the hosts' own Invitational Tournament and the Falcons came away with a strong performance in singles against their former conference rivals.

Freshmen Jordan Soifer (Stamford, Conn./Stamford) and Tawan Rattaseri (Bangkok, Thailand) picked up wins in singles, as did junior Mauricio Fadul (Miami, Fla.) and sophomore Alex Novins (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley).

Soifer won a three setter in No. 2 singles over Alec Mackay, 7-5, 5-7, 14-12, and Novins won a three setter as well over Pedro Mancini, 1-6, 7-6, 10-2, in No. 4 singles.

Fadul defeated Alex Fedorov in No. 5 in two sets 6-1, 7-6. Rattaseri won in two sets over Paul Weidinger in No. 6, 7-5, 6-0.

The four singles wins on the day bettered Merrimack's three, which came before the doubles portion which all Merrimack emerge victorious.

Bentley's next competition will be on Thursday when they host Nichols at 3:00 pm.
