Box Score GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Junior Bridget Gleason scored in the 67th minute to give the Bentley University women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over Wilmington (Del.) on Saturday. The victory was the first for new Falcons head coach Sarah Dacey.
Gleason's goal, unassisted, broke a 0-0 deadlock in the 67th minute.
Wilmington outside the Falcons 14-7, but Bentley made the most of its chance as Gleason's goal propelled them to the win.
The will come back home with a 1-0-1 record after a 1-1 tie with Molloy on Thursday.
Goalies Claire Ewen and Holly DiPalo combined for the clean sheet. Each made one save in 45 minutes of action.
The Falcons will now prep for their home opener, which is on Wednesday at 3:30 in a non-conference match.
