WALTHAM, Mass. – Four players from the Bentley women's soccer team were voted NE10 All-Conference, with sophomore
Sydney DeRoche on the first team, it was announced on Wednesday.
Along with DeRoche, goalkeeper
Holly DiPalo is on the second team,
Abi Hennessey is on the third team and
Olivia Matthews is on the All-Rookie team.
DeRoche led the team in both goals (8) and points (19) and tied for the team lead in assists (3). Her goals tally is tied for third in the NE10 and her points total is tied for sixth.
She received the NE10 Player of the Week award on Monday after she scored two goals in Bentley's playoff clinching win over AIC on November 5.
DiPalo was one of the top keepers in the NE10 in her first season as the starter. She ranked third in the NE10 in both save percentage (.800) and shutouts (5).
Hennessey is an All-Conference selection for the second straight year. She tallied three goals and three assists in 14 games. She had the game-winning goal against Southern Connecticut on October 18 and notched both assists in Bentley's playoff clinching win over AIC.
Matthews was second on the team in each of goals (5), assists (2) and points (12) as a freshman. She started all 17 matches and played all 90 minutes in 14 matches. She was the NE10 Rookie of the Week on October 13 after scoring one goal each in wins over Assumption and D'Youville.
