MANCHESTER, N.H. – Bentley saw its five-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday night at No. 5 ranked Southern N.H. by a 1-0 score.

It was a matchup of two of the top teams in the NE10 standings as the Penmen came in tied for first at 7-0 and Bentley in third at 6-1.

The deciding goal was scored by Carley Lovejoy with 5:33 remaining in the first half.

Falcons goalie Erin McGuinness made five saves on the night and her counterpart Emma Peeters stopped three shots.

Bentley sent on an extra player for the final 3:33 of the game in search of the tying goal. They had a penalty corner and a shot on goal by Hannah Blomquist that came from it, but Peeters made the save.

The Falcons' records go to 6-2 in the NE10 and 7-6 overall. They next face No. 7 Assumption on Friday at home.
