Waltham, Mass. – Bentley and Saint Anselm battled to a 0-0 draw in a non-conference match on Wednesday afternoon.
The Falcons outshot the Hawks 13-10 overall and 6-5 in shots on goal.
Bentley tested Saint Anselm keeper Samantha Swidorski early and often in the first half as she was forced to make four saves in the opening 45 minutes.
Meanwhile the Falcons put the clamps on defensively in the opening period and held the visitors to just one shot.
The second half saw the Hawks get into the game more offensively as they had five shots on goal. However, Falcons keeper 
Claire Ewen was equal to the task by saving each one.
Bentley had two shots on target in the second half.
It's the sixth clean sheet of the season for the Falcons and the 16
th of Ewen's career.
These teams will see each other again on Oct. 25 with NE10 points on the line.
Before then, Bentley travels to Southern Connecticut on Friday and hosts Southern N.H. on Oct. 22.
