Rockville Centre, N.Y. – Goals by
Hannah Blomquist and
Meagan Hayes and a shutout by
Erin McGuinness saw the Bentley field hockey team win at Molloy, 2-0 on Saturday for its third straight victory.
Blomquist scored her team-leading third goal of the season just one second before halftime, to give the Falcons a 1-0 advantage heading into the break.
The lead stayed 1-0 throughout the third quarter and into the fourth quarter.
Hayes then put the game away with her second goal of the year with 3:29 remaining in the game.
The goal came off a penalty corner that was sent in by
Emma Halas.
Libby Harrison put a hard shot on goal to the far post that Hayes tipped in for the goal.
McGuinness meanwhile made three saves for her fifth career shutout.
Bentley upped its records to 5-5 overall and 4-1 in the NE10. Their next game is Tuesday at home against Saint Michael's.
