Connor Hasley notched his second shutout of the season.
The Falcons improved to 7-4-1 overall and 6-2 in Atlantic Hockey. They've won seven of their last nine games and are 3-1 so far on their six game home stand.
Nik Armstrong-Kingkade scored two goals in the third period and defensemen
Nick Bochen scored in the 2
nd period.
The first 25 minutes of game time were scoreless until Bochen's fourth goal of the season at the 5:23 mark, which came from a shot just inside the blue line and above the right faceoff circle.
Artem Buzoverya and
Jimmy Doyle had the assists.
Bentley then grabbed a 2-0 lead at 7:24 of the 3
rd period.
Ethan Leyh had an initial shot from close range that was saved but Armstrong-Kingkade was there in front of the net to score off the rebound.
AIC then pulled its goalie with 2:46 remaining to try to make a comeback, but Bentley put the game away when Armstrong-Kingkade scored on the empty net from the neutral zone to make it 3-0.
Hasley's 25 save shutout is the fifth shutout of his career. That moves him into a tie for second most in program history, with Branden Komm '14.
Next up for the Falcons is a series against Air Force beginning next Friday to conclude the six game homestand.
