WALTHAM, Mass. –
Connor Hasley set the program record for career shutouts with his seventh and Bentley defeated Air Force 2-0 for a series sweep.
Hasley has three straight shutouts, a 3-0 win over AIC last Saturday and a pair of 2-0 wins over Air Force this weekend.
Bentley finished its six-game homestand at 5-1. They've won four in a row and seven out of their last eight.
The goals on this night came from defenseman
Sam Duerr at 6:46 of the 2
nd period and
Nik Armstrong-Kingkade at 12:05 of the 3
rd period.
Duerr's goal came on a tight angle shot to the left of the goal below the faceoff dot that went over the shoulder of Air Force netminder Guy Blessing.
Armstrong-Kingkade then made it 2-0 for Bentley when he fired in the rebound from a shot by
Ethan Leyh that Blessing had saved.
Hasley made 24 saves and helped Bentley's penalty kill go 3-3 on the night, including killing off a five-minute power play in the 2
nd period.
Hasley made nine saves in the first period, five in the second frame and 10 in the final period.
The Falcons are now 9-4-1 on the season and 8-2 in Atlantic Hockey. They next play at Northeastern on Dec. 1
