Falcons Secure Home Playoff Match with 1-0 Victory at AIC

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Abi Hennessey scored in the 32nd minute and Bentley won at American International 1-0 on Wednesday night in the final match of the regular season.

The result clinched a home playoff spot for the Falcons in the quarterfinals of the Northeast 10 Championship on Sunday.

Bentley will be the No. 4 seed and will host the No. 5 seed Saint Michael's at 1:00 PM.

Hennessey's goal was her team leading fourth of the season and was assisted by Ryenne Feeney. It's the second straight game with a goal contribution for Feeney, who scored the only goal in Saturday's 1-0 win over Pace.

The Falcons finished the regular season with a 7-3-6 overall record and 4-2-4 in the NE10 for 16 points.

Bentley and Saint Michael's tied their regular season match 1-1 on Sept. 21 when Hennessey scored the tying goal in the 89th minute.
