Gracie Moore scored at 7:13 of the 1st quarter but Bentley fell to Southern New Hampshire 2-1 on Wednesday night in a non-conference game.
The Falcons outshot the Penmen 8-6 in shots on goal, but SNHU scored two unanswered after Moore's goal in the 1
st quarter.
Bentley led 1-0 at halftime but the Penmen scored twice less than four minutes apart in the 3
rd quarter.
Jade Hendriks scored at the 39:47 mark to tie the score 1-1 and Anne Wiersma netted the go-ahead tally at 43:09.
The Falcons had a good look at the tying goal with just over a minute to play off a penalty corner, but a shot by
Lida Coco was denied by Emma Peeters, one of her seven saves on the night.
Moore's goal in the 1
st quarter was assisted by Coco, with the shot coming from close range after Coco dribbled in on goal.
The Falcons will look to bounce back on Saturday when they host No. 2 ranked East Stroudsburg on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
