Box Score COLCHESTER, Vt. – Evan Levine and Michael Haikal scored as Bentley defeated Caldwell 2-1 in its season opener on Thursday in Vermont.

Levine scored just 22 seconds into the proceedings, with Johann Fraser on the assist, to give the Falcons a very early 1-0 lead.

Bentley maintained its 1-0 lead thanks to strong defense and goalkeeper Cam Hall, who made six saves in his first match as a Falcon.

With just over six minutes remaining, the lead increased to 2-0 when Haikal converted from the penalty spot after a Caldwell foul in the box.

Caldwell pulled a goal back in the 88^th minute with a PK of its own, but Bentley saw out the remaining time for the win.

The Falcons will look to make it a 2-0 weekend in Vermont when they take on Georgian Court on Saturday.
