Wielgoszinski Among Individual Winners for Bentley at WPI Tri-Meet

WALTHAM, Mass. – Leighton Wielgoszinski was among the individual winners for Bentley at the WPI Tri-Meet on Tuesday.

Wielgoszinski was the overall winner in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:08.20 and teammate Andrew Matjucha was second at 10:15.48.

As a team, the Falcons fell to WPI, 162-132 and to Adelphi, 179-115.

Freshman Michael Belpedio was the overall winner of the 100 breaststroke in 51.12.

Daniel Ivanchikov won the 100 fly with a time of 52.85 and Joey Twomey was third at 54.55.

Ivanchikov was second in the 200 fly at 1:59.20.

Matt Walden took third in the 200 back with a time of 1:59.55 and Kenny Ryu was third in the 200 breaststroke in 2:17.04.

The Falcons are set to continue the second half of their season on Sunday when they host Southern Connecticut State at the Dana Center.
