WALTHAM, Mass. – The Falcons set pool records in the 200 medley relay and the 100 backstroke in a 148-140 victory over Southern Connecticut State on Sunday.
Sophomore Danny Lehr was a part of both records. He set the pool record in the 100 backstroke with a time of 52.64.
Lehr swam the leadoff leg as the 200 medley team began the meet by winning in a pool record 1:35.54.
Kenny Ryu swam the second leg and was followed by freshmen Zach Ellis and
Ethan Rehkopf.
Ryu earned two wins to help the Falcons' cause. He touched first in the 100 breaststroke (59.41) and 200 breaststroke races (2:13.43), with the latter a meet record.
Leighton Wielgoszinski won the two distance free races. He won the 1000 free with a time of 10:03.19 and teammate
Andrew Matjucha took second in 10:12.41.
Wielgoszinski was also first in the 500 free with a time of 4:50.66.
Daniel Ivanchikov set a meet record by winning the 100 fly in 52.61 and Matt Walden touched first in the 200 back with a time of 1:59.07.
The Falcons will next be in action on Wednesday when they visit Bridgewater State.
