DENVER, Colo. – Denver University's Eric Pohlkamp recorded a hat trick as the #5 ranked Pioneers defeated Bentley 5-0 on Saturday night at Magness Arena.

Bentley was within 2-0 after the second period as goaltender Easton Hesse had 25 saves in the first 40 minutes.

The game remained 2-0 approaching the midpoint of the third period until Denver broke it open with three goals in a span of 2:23.

Pohlkamp had two of the goals, with one added by Jake Fisher.

Hesse finished the night with 32 saves.

The Falcons next face UMass Amherst on the road on October 18 before their home opener on October 24 against Canisius.
