WALTHAM, Mass. – Elizabeth Blinn and
Sophia Poehlein both put away double-digit kills to lead the Bentley volleyball team to its 10
th consecutive win with a 3-0 sweep (25-15, 25-18, 25-21) at Franklin Pierce Tuesday night.
Blinn totaled 10 kills for the Falcons (14-4, 4-0 NE10), and Poehlein finished with 12. For Blinn, it was her seventh match this season with 10 or more kills. She also totaled six blocks in the three sets, bringing her Northeast 10 leading average to 1.68 blocks per set.
Poehlein reached double digit kills for the 10
th consecutive match, and the 15
th time overall this season.
Tory Vitko led all players in assists with 34, and
Erica Borzone had a match-high 10 digs.
Bentley attacked at a .279 mark, while limiting the Ravens to a .075 hitting percentage. Franklin Pierce hit -.074 in the second set.
The Falcons return home for Senior Night Friday, Oct. 17, when Bentley hosts Southern Connecticut for a 6 p.m. conference match.
