MANCHESTER, N.H. –
Sydney DeRoche and
Annie Vigue scored but Bentley women's soccer fell on the road to Southern New Hampshire 3-2 on Tuesday night.
DeRoche scored on a penalty kick in the 48
th minute and Vigue's goal in the 74
th minute was assisted by
Abi Hennessey and
McKay Pratt
DeRoche's goal tied the game 1-1 after the Penmen took the lead just before halftime on a goal by Georgia Greene.
After DeRoche tied the game, SNHU scored just 11 seconds later on a goal by Carly Schofield. In the 54
th minute, Emma Noheimer put them up 3-1.
Vigue's second goal of the year in the 74
th minute pulled Bentley to within 3-2 but they were unable to find the equalizer again.
Bentley held a 19-12 edge in total shots and 11-7 in shots on goal.
The Falcons, who fell to 5-5-3 overall and 2-3-1 NE10, next play on Friday at home against Saint Anselm. Kickoff is at 3:30 pm.
