Bentley Drops 1-0 Decision to #9 Saint Anselm in Overtime

MANCHESTER, N.H. - #9 ranked Saint Anselm escaped with a 1-0 win in overtime against Bentley on Wednesday night to snap the team's three game winning streak.

60 minutes of regulation and the first 10 minutes of overtime wasn't enough to determine a winner. The winning goal finally came from Meghan Carey 1:06 into the second overtime period.

Falcons goalie Annie Lorenz made seven saves and Avery Frommer came up big with three defensive saves. Mia Gallinelli was also credited with a defensive save.

The defeat is just the second in the last 12 games for the Falcons, whose records go to 10-6 overall and 8-2 in the NE10.

Just two games are left in the regular season and both are at home, starting on October 28th against Franklin Pierce.
