WALTHAM, Mass. - Bentley field hockey ran its winning streak to six with a 6-1 victory over Southern Connecticut State on Friday afternoon.
Layla Conway had two goals as the Falcons improved to 6-4 overall and 5-0 in the NE10.
Goals also came from Emily Spadorcia, Lindsey Jacobs, Lilly Cook and McKenzie Carey.
Cook scored for the fourth time in five games and Jacobs scored for the second straight contest.
Carey was one of eight different players to notch an assist. Gracie Moore had an assist to increase her points streak to six games. Makenzie Dutch and Shelia Mullins had their first NCAA points with an assist each.
The Owls took an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Isabella Folster midway through the first quarter.
But Bentley answered with a goal by Spadorcia with 3:23 left in the opening quarter.
Conway's first goal of the afternoon in the second quarter gave Bentley the lead at 2-1.
The score stayed that way into the third quarter when a burst of two goals in less than four minutes made it 4-1, with Conway and Jacobs the goal scorers.
In the fourth frame, goals came from Cook and Carey.
Bentley will look to make it seven wins in a row on Sunday when they host St. Michael's in a non-conference game at 2:00 pm.
