Carey’s Hat Trick Leads Bentley to 7th Straight Win, 6-0 over Saint Michael’s

WALTHAM, Mass. – McKenzie Carey scored a hat trick and Bentley field hockey notched its seventh straight victory on Sunday, 6-0 over Saint Michael's in a non-conference game.

Carey scored the first two goals before the game was even two minutes old to give the Falcons an early 2-0 lead.

Gracie Moore tacked on a goal 3:50 into the contest and freshman Makenzie Dutch scored her first NCAA goal to make it 4-0, 7:11 into the game.

Moore scored again with 3:34 left in the quarter for her team leading eighth of the season.

Carey, a senior team captain from Boxford, Mass.,, completed the hat trick with a goal 2:06 into the fourth quarter.

That was the second hat trick by a Falcon this season. Madeline Krepelka had the first on September 24.

Goalies Annie Lorenz and Olivia Heryla combined on the shutout.

Bentley will look to make it eight in a row on Wednesday when they visit Assumption at 7:00 pm.
