WORCESTER, Mass. – Bentley field hockey saw its seven game winning streak snapped at Assumption on Wednesday night by a 3-1 score.
The Greyhounds scored in the first quarter from Elle Murray to take a 1-0 lead. They added two goals in the second quarter from Daisy Stone and Marta Brzoska jump ahead 3-0.
Madeline Krepelka scored her fifth goal of the season for Bentley with just over five minutes left in the fourth quarter, but the Falcons were not able to get any closer.
Bentley's seven game win streak began with victory over Assumption at home on September 17. During the streak, they outscored teams by a 37-8 margin.
Annie Lorenz made six saves for Bentley and
Nina Husak and
Avery Frommer were each credited with defensive saves.
The Falcons (7-5, 5-1 NE10) will look to get back in the win column on Saturday when they visit Adelphi for a 4:00 pm game.
