WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University's
Michael Haikal garnered the Northeast 10 Conference's Men's Soccer Player of the Week award on Monday.
Haikal scored two goals to help power the Falcons to a 3-1 road victory over Assumption on Saturday night.
With the game tied 1-1, he scored in the 33
rd minute to give the Falcons the lead and his second goal of the night in the 59
th minute made it 3-1.
That made it three goals in three games for Haikal, who leads the team with four goals overall this season.
A midfielder from North Easton, Massachusetts, it's his first career Player of the Week award.
The Falcons are 5-1-1 overall and 3-0 in the NE10 heading into Tuesday's home match against #3 ranked Southern New Hampshire. Bentley is one of just two teams yet to drop points in an NE10 game this season.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
