MANCHESTER, N.H. – Goals by
Michael Haikal and
Logan Veloria led Bentley men's soccer to a 2-0 win on the road over Saint Anselm on Wednesday.
The Falcons improved to 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in Northeast 10 games.
Haikal gave Bentley the lead with a penalty kick goal in the 21st minute after a foul by the Hawks in the penalty area. That came after a shot on goal by
Lukas Drahos was saved.
Bentley maintained the 1-0 lead into the second half and a goal by
Logan Veloria in the 73
rd minute added insurance. The goal was his first of the season.
Falcons keeper
Cam Hall made four saves for the shutout. It's the fourth time this season Bentley has kept a clean sheet. They've allowed just two goals in five games so far.
Following the win, Bentley's next game is on October 1 at home against Bridgeport.
