WALTHAM, Mass. – Sophomore defenseman
David Helledy scored 2:39 into overtime to give Bentley a 2-1 victory over Alaska Anchorage on Friday night.
The win extended Bentley's unbeaten streak to seven games at 7-0-1.
It was the first career goal for Helledy as the Falcons defeated the Seawolves in the first ever meeting between the two teams.
Bentley trailed 1-0 after a goal early in the 2
nd period by Alaska's Ryan Johnson.
But midway through the third period,
Dylan Cook tied the game when he tipped in a shot that came from
Arlo Merritt.
Helledy's goal was assisted by
Michael Mesic.
Freshman goalie
Lukas Swedin made 29 saves for his third win in as many games.
