WALTHAM, Mass. – The postseason has finally arrived for the 2025 Northeast 10 Regular-Season Champions. The Bentley volleyball team hosts an NE10 Semifinal match against Southern Connecticut Friday, Nov. 21, at 5 p.m.

Undefeated
Not only did Bentley go undefeated in conference matches this season, but it is still unbeaten in regional contests, as well. The program's last undefeated NE10 season was in 2005.

Top of the class
The NE10 announced its 2025 award winners earlier this week. Elizabeth Blinn was named the NE10 Defensive Player of the Year, Tory Vitko was named the NE10 Setter of the Year, and Joey Pacis earned his fourth Sandy Hoffman NE10 Coach of the Year honor during his Bentley tenure. Burning into the postseason
Bentley carries an 18-match winning streak into the postseason. The streak started Sept. 19 with a 3-0 win over Molloy during the East Region Clash hosted by American International. Of those 18 wins, only one went five sets (vs. Mercy, Oct. 7). Twelve of the 18 wins have been sweeps.

There's no place like home
Bentley is a perfect 7-0 at home this season. Even more impressively, the Falcons are 42-3 in Waltham since the start of the 2022 season.

They say defense wins championships
Bentley far and away leads the NE10 in opponent hitting percentage, allowing a .111 clip. American International has the next-best mark in the conference at .142. Bentley also allows the fewest aces per set (1.38) in the NE10, and the team paces the conference in blocks per set (2.45). Elizabeth Blinn leads all of NCAA DII volleyball in blocks per set (1.68).

Don't sleep on the night birds
Dating back to 2022, Bentley has four consecutive 3-0 wins over Southern Connecticut in regular-season matches. Although the Falcons swept the Owls in their 2022 regular-season meeting, Southern Connecticut beat Bentley in four sets during that season's NE10 Quarterfinals.

The final four
As the #1 seed, Bentley earned a first-round bye. In Tuesday's first-round matches, #2 Adelphi beat #7 Franklin Pierce (3-0); #3 AIC beat #6 Saint Anselm (3-0); #4 Southern Conn. beat #5 Saint Micael's (3-1). Following the Falcons' match against Southern Conn., Bentley hosts Adelphi vs. AIC.

Scouting Southern Connecticut (7-18, 4-5 NE10)
Sydney Bennett had a team-high 12 kills, and Kerrigan Habing added 10 in the NE10 Championship First Round win against Saint Michael's this week. Kimi Mitchell finished with 33 assists. The Owls are limiting opponents to a .150 hitting percentage this season, which stands as the third-best mark in the NE10. The team's .183 hitting percentage ranks fourth.
