WALTHAM, Mass. – The No. 22 Bentley volleyball team closed out the
Sandy Hoffman Memorial Tournament against a couple of nationally ranked top-20 teams Saturday. The Falcons got swept by both No. 6 Barry and No. 18 Lynn.
Sophia Poehlein put away 10 kills against Barry, and
Tory Vitko put up 28 assists in the match. Bentley's offense couldn't get any traction against Lynn, as the Falcons hit just .048 in the contest.
Bentley's early-season slate doesn't get any easier. The Falcons head west for a return to the Colorado Premier, Sept. 4-5. There, Bentley takes on No. 21 Angelo State and No. 3 MSU Denver. The Falcons' third match in Colorado is yet to be determined.
