WALTHAM, Mass. – Following a thrilling win in its 2025-26 home opener, the Bentley men's basketball team returns to the Dana Center to host Bridgeport Sunday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m.
Â
No assumptions made
Bentley (2-2) began its home slate with a dramatic 79-77 win over No. 16 Assumption Wednesday (Nov. 19). With the game tied, 77-77,Â
Cash McClure drove down the lane and pulled up in the paint for a jumper. His shot rimmed out, but
Chase Clarke was there to tip in the go-ahead points. Officials initially ruled basket interference, but Bentley head coachÂ
Jay Lawson didn't hesitate to challenge the call. After a lengthy review, officials reversed the call to seal the Bentley win.
Â
Cut to the Chase
Chase Clarke narrowly missed his second double-double of the season when he went for 17 points and nine rebounds in the win over Assumption. Clarke notched a double-double (19 points, 10 rebounds) in the first game of the season against Dominican (N.Y.) (Nov. 14). Clarke had two double-doubles in 28 games last year.
Â
Money Mantas
Mantas Zilys scored a career-high 17 points in the Falcons' win over Assumption. He shot 4-for-8 from the floor (2-for-4 from three), and 7-for-8 from the free-throw line. The sophomore also added a career-best seven boards in the winning effort.
Â
Cooper's for real
Cooper Farrall recorded his third consecutive double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds against Assumption. He previously had 24 points and 12 rebounds against Southern N.H. (Nov. 19), and he had a 17-point, 11-rebound game at Caldwell (Nov. 15).
Â
Spreading the wealth
Cash McClure dished out a season-high six assists in the win over Assumption. Last year, McClure had five games with six or more assists. His career-high is eight assists, which he has achieved twice (vs. Franklin Peirce, Jan. 2025; vs. Felician Dec. 2023). Â
Battling on the boards
Bentley is averaging 41.3 rebounds per game so far this season, which ranks second in the NE10. Pace has a narrow lead in the category (41.8).
