Farrall leads Bentley to 82-66 win at No. 25 Florida Southern

LAKELAND, Fla. – Cooper Farrall posted season-highs in scoring and rebounding to lead the Bentley men's basketball team to an 82-66 win at No. 25 Florida Southern Friday night.

Farrall scored 26 points and pulled down 14 boards against the Mocs (9-3), good for his fourth double-double of the season. He shot 10-for-14 from the floor, while Bentley (6-3) as a team shot 50.8-percent from the floor. It was the Falcons' third best field-goal percentage this season.

Cash McClure scored 19 points, and Chase Clarke finished with 13 points and eight rebounds. Mantas Zilys added 14 points off the bench.

The nationally-ranked Mocs claimed a double-digit lead, 16-6, just six minutes into the game. Bentley still trailed by 10 points, 20-10, when Farrall hit a 3-pointer midway through the first half.

Bentley got to within five points, 22-17, when McClure drained a trey with 8:36 on the clock. The Falcons stayed hot from distance when a Zilys 3-pointer brought the Falcons to within one possession, 24-22.

In the ensuing Mocs possession, Farrall came away with a steal. On the other end of the floor, Clarke scored in the paint to tie the game at 24-all. Bentley finally got out in front, 28-26, when McClure hit a jump shot with 5:19 left in the first half. Following a Mocs turnover, Ivan Misic hit a 3-pointer to push the lead to 31-26.

By halftime, Bentley held a 44-35 advantage.

The Falcons took that momentum into the second half, opening the period with an 11-0 run. Bentley's lead was 20 points. 55-35, following an offensive tip-in by Farrall five minutes into the second half.
